What is the purpose of this Nuisance Dogs World Map?

Our goal is to be able to visually demonstrate how pervasive is the current epidemic caused by nuisance dogs, be it by Barking, Killing, Attacking, Roaming-Freely, Defecating… in a way that we can demand changes.

Will it be easy? No. But we are doing our part. That is why we count ou you, a nuisance dog victim, just like us.

Thanks for participating!

This page is inspired on the Barking Dogs Atlas that seems to be stalled since 2007. Many thanks for the creative and important idea.

Are you kidding? 1000 Americans are admitted to emergency rooms every DAY due to dog attacks. If you factor in robobarkers and the neighborhood feces factory the whole damn map will be covered in no time.

    • MrMAD says:

      Yes, that IS the point!

People need to strongly express their discontent against this dog madness. This is the only way to have authorities realize the problem is really serious.

      • Puma says:

This must be spread around like the barking dogs chart I put up. More people need to cover this map. It is a necessity, for the good of decency, common sense, and sanity!

        • MrMAD says:

I updated the Map with the People Killed by Pitbulls in 2013.

There a lot more to do and I hope people start seeing it as important as it is. Unfortunately my day has only 24 hours on it.

          • Puma says:

There’s gotta be an auto-update feature to make your life easier. The entire map would be flashing red from biters, barkers, crap machines, deaths, bad cities, mutt-nuts, and weird stories.

I want to see it be covered in red.

          • MrMAD says:

            I’m working on that, Puma.
Hope I get it workink soon. I’m not a programmer, just use what is available out there. Let’s see.

Where did the stat.come for 1000 a day?
While we fight the problem we must be sure of our facts and cite sources so that animal owners cannot disregard facts. I agree on the idea that the whole map is covered. I have looked in vain for a dog free city.

      • MrMAD says:

A dog-free city? I tell you of a country: Iceland.

Iceland is the closest we can get to a 100% no-dogs place on this planet. It’s not fully prohibited to have a dog but it’s extremely difficult and thus prospective dog owners don’t want all the trouble (trouble, for them).

Things are far more relaxed now, unfortunately, but all dogs must be registered and owners have to ask neighbours for their permission to move a dog into a block of flats.

“The Vopnafjörður city mayor came and told my dad that if [the dog ran out without a leash] again he would have to shoot the dog”

Yeah! It might even look worse than the infamous ‘Wal-Mart spreading like a virus’ YouTube video!
